Your day's tour will begin with a pickup from your accommodation in Reykjavík. Then you'll be driven to the first destination, Seljalandsfoss waterfall. This 60-meter high feature is a rare example of an Icelandic waterfall that can be walked behind.
A little further up the road, you will come across one of Iceland's biggest waterfalls, Skógarfoss, which will be explored on the way back. Visitors can walk right up to where the enormous waterfall hits the pool beneath, offering a chance to take some marvelous photos.
After that, you will make a stop by the small peninsula, Dyrhólaey. The view from Dyrhólaey is something spectacular: in the north, you can see the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and in the east, the black lava remains of the Reynisdrangar peninsula.
Then you will visit the famed black-sand beach, Reynisfjara, known for its dark sand, beautiful view, dangerous waves and fascinating cliffs and rocks.
After the beach visit, you will see the crown jewel of the trip - the stunning sight of the glacier lagoon, Jökulsárlón, located in the Vatnajökull national park. The lagoon is made up of melt water from the massive glacier, Vatnajökull, and is ever changing from the force of the glacier retreats. When the ice breaks away from the glacier it wanders through the lagoon and towards the ocean, a truly astonishing sight.
After soaking in the beauty of the Lagoon you will head back to your accommodations in Reykjavík, visiting Skógarfoss on the way, as previously mentioned.
